Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and person-centred healthcare professional to provide high-quality care to neonates and their families, assessing needs and coordinating individualized care plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver compassionate and person-centred nursing or midwifery care to neonates and their families.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure seamless, holistic care and support for neonatal patients.
  • Support the clinical team during shifts, including mentoring junior staff and contributing to a safe, effective work environment.
  • Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice to enhance patient safety and outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, students, and new staff to promote health and professional development within the neonatal setting.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Registration as a Nurse or Midwife with relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Demonstrated clinical competence in neonatal or relevant nursing/midwifery practice.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to prioritise, problem-solve, and manage conflict effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Commitment to person- and family-centred care, with a strong consumer-focused approach in all clinical interactions.
  • Sound knowledge of legislation and standards relevant to nursing/midwifery practice.
