Job Title: Skilled Nursing Professional

About the Opportunity:

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to newborns and their families by assessing needs and coordinating individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure seamless, holistic care and support for neonatal patients.
  • Support the clinical team during shifts, including mentoring junior staff and contributing to a safe, effective work environment.
  • Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice to enhance patient safety and outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, students, and new staff to promote health and professional development within the neonatal setting.

About You:

  • Be registered with relevant nursing or midwifery authorities and hold a current practicing certificate.
  • Have demonstrated clinical competence in neonatal or relevant nursing/midwifery practice, aligned with national safety and quality healthcare standards.
  • Possess strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to prioritise, problem-solve, and manage conflict effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Have a commitment to person- and family-centred care, with a strong consumer-focused approach in all clinical interactions.
  • Have sound knowledge of legislation and standards relevant to nursing/midwifery practice, including EEO, ethics, WHS, and quality management.
