Job Title: Transport/Cartage Coordinator

This is an exciting opportunity to join People in Focus, specialists in creating employment solutions in international and domestic freight forwarding and logistics.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Allocate work to contractors and manage their performance.
  • Book accommodation and flights for clients and ensure their needs are met.
  • Monitor and control the budget to ensure it remains on track.
  • Manage the company fleet and ensure all vehicles are maintained and operational.
  • Monitor and relay transport movements back to clients in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Enter job requests into the system and ensure all information is up to date.
  • Ensure all OH&S procedures are current and implemented.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in allocation and management.
  • Forklift License is desirable, but not essential.
  • Sound knowledge of the Major Australian metro areas is required.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and a calm and professional telephone manner.
  • Data Entry Skills – intermediate and Microsoft Office skills – intermediate.
  • Self-motivated and well disciplined, with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
