Indigenous News Journalist Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Cross Platform Journalist to join our Indigenous News and Current Affairs team.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, research, write, edit, and produce high-quality news, interviews, and feature stories across linear and digital platforms.
  • Develop original content that centers and elevates First Nations voices and perspectives.
  • Build and maintain strong networks within Indigenous communities and organizations.

Requirements:
  • Advanced communication skills and experience in journalism and/or media broadcasting, including the production and presentation of original, multi-platform news and current affairs content.
  • Understanding of camera, sound, and editing systems is highly valued.
  • Deep understanding of Indigenous Cultural Protocol and the ability to communicate sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
  • Able to work as part of a small team with a positive attitude and meet strict broadcast deadlines.
