Payroll Officer

Job Description:

Panthers Group is a leading entertainment and leisure provider with 5 licensed clubs across NSW, ownership of the NRL Rugby League Club and a brand new hotel and conference centre. We have an exciting opportunity for someone with strong payroll and customer service skills to join our proficient Payroll Team.

You will be exposed to a wide range of payroll functions giving you the opportunity to develop your skills and become a multi-skilled Payroll all-rounder. You will process the weekly payroll for over 1000 staff (permanent & casual) across multiple sites, assist with the processing of two monthly payrolls for over 100 staff, attend to payroll queries and subsequent adjustments, interpret legislation and Enterprise Agreements, process Leave and Termination payments, calculate PAYG, Payroll Deductions and Superannuation, generate reports and perform filing and administrative tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process weekly payroll for 1000+ staff
  • Assist with bi-monthly payroll for 100 staff
  • Attend to payroll queries and adjustments
  • Interpret legislation and Enterprise Agreements
  • Process leave and termination payments
  • Calculate PAYG, Payroll Deductions and Superannuation
  • Generate reports
  • Perform filing and administrative tasks

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following:

  • A minimum of 5 years payroll experience working for a medium to large organisation
  • Exposure to iChris/Chris21 and/or UKG (Time and Attendance System)
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • The ability to multi-task, prioritise and work within strict deadlines
  • Advanced computer skills including Excel and Report Writing
  • Ability to work under pressure and problem solve
  • The ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
  • Respect for privacy and confidentiality
  • Excellent communication skills
