About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to join our team at Parramatta City Council. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of capital projects and programs, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the delivery of a diverse portfolio of capital projects and programs, from initiation to operational handover.
  • Lead and coordinate diverse and multi-faceted project teams, including project managers, designers, and consultants.
  • Manage the engagement of external resources, including supervision and administration of the engagement.
  • Manage project finances, ensuring accurate budgeting, expenditure, forecasting, payments, and cash flow projections.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships to establish and maintain strong, effective internal and external stakeholder relationships.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Portfolio Manager who has:

  • Extensive experience in the management of portfolios, including a wide range of projects and programs.
  • Recognised degree qualifications in Project Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, or other related discipline.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, advocacy, and people management skills.
  • Excellent skills and knowledge of civil, landscape, and building construction techniques and ability to understand and interpret engineering and technical designs.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Excellent budget and financial skills.
  • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills.
  • Class 'C' Drivers Licence.

  • An attractive total remuneration package from $142,245 to $156,619 plus 11.5% superannuation.
