Portfolio Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Manager to join our team at City of Parramatta. As a Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of capital projects and programs, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the delivery of a diverse portfolio of capital projects and programs, ranging in size, nature, sensitivity, and complexity.
- Lead and coordinate diverse and multi-faceted project teams, including project managers, designers, and consultants.
- Manage the engagement of external resources, including supervision and administration of the engagement.
- Manage the procurement process, including tender advertisements, tender documentation, tender assessment, and contract documentation.
- Manage project finances, ensuring accurate budgeting, expenditure, forecasting, payments, and cash flow projections.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, establishing and maintaining strong, effective internal and external stakeholder relationships.
The successful candidate will have:
- Extensive experience in portfolio management, including a wide range of projects and programs.
- Recognised degree qualifications in Project Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, or other related disciplines.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, advocacy, and people management skills.
- Excellent skills and knowledge of civil, landscape, and building construction techniques, and ability to understand and interpret engineering and technical designs.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Excellent budget and financial skills.
- Demonstrated organisational and time management skills.
- Class 'C' Drivers Licence.
- An attractive total remuneration package, including a salary range of $142,245 to $156,619, plus 11.5% superannuation.
- Eligibility for the 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance with eligible qualification.
- A range of flexible work arrangements, including hybrid WFH arrangements.
- 14 weeks paid parental leave.
