Project Management Leader

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Management Leader to join the Integrated Grants and Projects team at the City of Parramatta.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Development: Lead the development of capital projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with the Council's strategic objectives.
- Team Management: Manage a team of professional staff, providing guidance, coaching, and leadership to ensure high-performing teams and successful project outcomes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Business Case Development: Prepare comprehensive business cases to support project approvals, ensuring alignment with the Council's budget and strategic objectives.
- Reporting: Provide regular project updates to senior management and the Council's Executive Team, ensuring transparency and accountability.
About You
We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled professional with:
- Postgraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., landscape architecture, architecture, project management).
- 10-15 years of operational experience in managing complex portfolios of projects.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage diverse stakeholders in a highly political environment.
- Extensive experience in driving improvements and innovation.
- Detailed understanding of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Strong design management skills.
- Extensive project management skills.
- Demonstrated strategic planning skills with the ability to develop long-term program planning.
- Proven leadership skills in managing multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration, and driving excellence.
What's on Offer
We are offering a competitive remuneration package from $149,428 to $165,645 plus 11.5% superannuation.
