Safety Specialist Lead

As a seasoned professional in occupational health and safety, you will play a pivotal role in leading our team to implement and audit our Safety Management System across complex high-risk disciplines. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing expert advice and training to stakeholders, fostering a culture of proactive risk management.
Required Skills and QualificationsRelevant tertiary qualification in occupational safety, science, engineering or similar, or demonstrated equivalent experience. Extensive experience leading safety teams and managing complex WHS issues across high-risk environments.
Strong stakeholder engagement, coaching and communication skills, with proven ability to influence across academic and operational units.
Knowledge and experience in developing safety management systems, risk registers, emergency planning and incident investigation.
Ability to manage WHS audits, drive continuous improvement, and oversee specialist areas such as radiation, chemical or diving safety.
