Senior Operations Manager Role: Leadership and Team Collaboration

We are seeking a skilled Senior Operations Manager to join our Special Works teams in Vinnies Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to provide leadership and support to our teams, driving continuous improvement and ensuring the delivery of effective and targeted support programs.

About the Role

This role requires strong risk awareness and management skills, as well as experience in volunteer recruitment, training, and support. You will lead and manage teams, promote a culture of risk management, and maintain oversight of the department to ensure compliance and safety measures are in place.

  • Lead and manage Special Works teams, providing clear direction and support to achieve objectives.
  • Maintain oversight of the department, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and compliance with legislation and organizational policies.
  • Promote a culture of risk management among teams, identifying and resolving hazards incidents.
  • Engage with staff and volunteers to address and resolve safety incidents, ensuring timely investigation and closure.

This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 11 months, covering maternity leave. We offer a competitive salary package, including car allowance and parking spot at the facility.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in non-profit management, with a focus on volunteer recruitment and training.
  • Experience in managing teams and working with volunteers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build positive relationships at all levels.

Estimated salary: AU$85,000 - AU$110,000 per year, depending on experience.
