About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Support Officer to join our team at Babcock International Group. As a key member of our Ground Support Equipment Contract, you will play a vital role in ensuring the operational readiness of the Australian Defence Force.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake preventative and corrective maintenance on fleet assets to ensure they are always mission-ready.
  • Perform condition-based maintenance and repair tasks on heavy equipment, vehicles, and ancillary gear in a highly controlled environment.
  • Assess and report defects, resolve urgent breakdowns on-site at the RAAF base, and enhance maintenance and repair strategies.
Requirements
  • Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain Defence Security clearance.
  • Recognised trade certificate in Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Auto-Electrical, or Refrigeration.
  • Drivers Licence, Heavy Rigid or Heavy Combination.
  • Significant experience in a Heavy Equipment workshop and field service environment.
  • Experience and understanding of condition monitoring principles and their impact on fleet owning and operating costs.
