Early Childhood Language Specialist

Language development is a fundamental aspect of early childhood, significantly impacted by family violence leading to brain abnormalities in memory and language areas.
Speech therapy helps children comprehend language, build vocabulary, master sentence structure, enhance social skills, practice articulation of different sounds, develop play skills, literacy, and fluency of speech.
This role will provide services to children who have been affected by homelessness and/or domestic and family violence referred by the local community.
Requirements:- Relevant qualifications in speech pathology, including current registration with Speech Pathology Australia
- Current professional indemnity insurance
- A valid NSW driver's license
- A recent Police Check and Working with Children Check
- Deliver community-based speech pathology services to clients one day a month
- Engage a maximum of four clients per monthly session
- Conduct education sessions to support building capacity and raising awareness
- Maintain regular progress reporting and data collection for Wentworth Healthcare
