Lithgow Speech Therapy Position

We are seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our team in Lithgow. As a specialist in speech therapy, you will work closely with children affected by homelessness and/or domestic and family violence.
Language development plays a vital role in early childhood growth. Research has shown that family violence can have a direct impact on a child's language skills, leading to brain abnormalities in memory and language areas.
- You will deliver an education session to staff and stakeholders of Lithgow Community projects, promoting capacity building and awareness.
- A key aspect of this role is completing regular progress reports and data collection for Wentworth Healthcare, culminating in a comprehensive evaluation report.
- The ideal candidate will engage with up to four clients per monthly session.
To succeed in this position, applicants must hold relevant qualifications in speech pathology, including current registration with Speech Pathology Australia. A recent Police Check and Working with Children Check are also mandatory requirements.
