About the Role:

GHD is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Commercial Manager to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for steering our software licensing, procurement, and vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate a software licensing strategy that aligns with enterprise goals.
  • Negotiate and manage software licenses, ensuring compliance and optimization of ROI.
  • Establish a Vendor Management Framework for consistent vendor interactions.
  • Maintain strong vendor partnerships and manage vendor performance.
  • Cultivate a high-performing, collaborative, and agile team.
  • Engage and motivate the team, setting clear goals and providing ongoing feedback.
  • Manage talent through acquisitions, development, and succession planning.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing a comprehensive software licensing strategy.
  • Experience establishing a successful Vendor Management Framework leading to improved vendor relationships.
  • Evidenced excellence in significant procurement efforts resulting in cost savings and policy compliance.
  • Strategic direction that aligns software decisions with business objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience with ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM) including implementation, integration, and reporting metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or related field; MBA or relevant certifications preferred.
  • At least 7 years of experience in relevant fields, with a minimum of 3 years in leadership.
  • Proven success in negotiating software contracts and achieving cost savings.
