As a Leisure and Lifestyle Officer at Calvary Care, you will play a vital role in designing, developing, and implementing programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents. Your primary objective will be to create a fun and relaxing environment that promotes autonomy and independence among our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement special programs to meet the needs of residents, enhancing their quality of life and enjoyment.
  • Conduct programs that support the autonomy and independence of each resident, fostering a sense of community and social interaction.
  • Collaborate with the Leisure and Lifestyle team to ensure the delivery of high-quality programs and services.
  • Document assessments, care plans, and progress notes to ensure accurate and effective care.
  • Provide sensitivity and understanding to the needs and interests of residents, promoting a culture of respect and empathy.
Requirements
  • Leisure and Lifestyle Certificate Level IV or other relevant qualification.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating activities for frail people with cognitive impairment and disabilities.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to document assessments, care plans, and progress notes.
  • Sensitivity to and understanding of the needs and interests of residents.
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence.
