Key Responsibilities
  • Improve Safety Standards: Develop and implement strategies to enhance safety standards for all employees, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Site Safety Inspections: Conduct regular site safety inspections, hazard identifications, and risk assessments to identify potential safety risks.
  • Attend Safety Meetings: Participate in Health and Safety Representative (HSR) and toolbox meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Safety Documentation: Maintain and review all safety documentation and safety systems to ensure compliance with legislative and company requirements.
  • Training and Support: Provide relevant training and support to continuously improve safety practices and ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate injuries and incidents, providing corrective action recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all activities are performed safely, accurately, and in accordance with legislative, company, and customer requirements.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Safety Officer who is passionate about driving a safety culture and leading by example. You will have a strong background in safety management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.

Requirements
  • Relevant Qualifications: Hold relevant OHS, Safety, and First Aid qualifications or experience.
  • Experience: Have experience in developing and delivering training programs, conducting site safety inspections, and investigating incidents.
  • Skills: Possess exceptional organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Computer Skills: Have fast and competent computer skills, with the ability to multitask across a variety of tasks.
  • Driver's Licence: Hold a current driver's licence with a clean driving record.
