Senior Project Manager

The Bruce Highway Targeted Safety Program is an initiative to reduce crash severity and frequency, particularly between Gympie and Cairns. The program aims to improve safety through targeted measures such as wide centre line treatments, audio tactile line marking, intersection upgrades, rest areas, pavement strengthening, overtaking lanes, and upgrades to narrow structures.
Key Objectives
- Reduce crash severity and frequency
- Improve road safety through targeted safety measures
- Enhance infrastructure and services along the highway
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the development phase of the Southern Queensland Region's contribution to the program.
Accountabilities- Lead and manage a team of professionals to ensure the program meets requirements and industry best-practice
- Manage stakeholder engagement with government agencies, Traditional Owners, and provide specialist advice to senior management
- Identify and harness internal and external expertise to deliver program objectives
- Collaborate with the broader program teams to ensure consistency of delivery and technical practices
- Investigate and resolve complex engineering and contractual issues associated with the program
- Manage the delivery of construction contracts and foster industry involvement
- Monitor and report on program progress and identify mitigation strategies to overcome issues or obstacles
