Manager of Indigenous Relations

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our First Nations engagement efforts.

The successful candidate will build and maintain strong relationships with First Nations communities, stakeholders, and organizations through collaborative partnerships.

They will ensure that Indigenous perspectives are integrated into all aspects of our organization's operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies for respectful engagement with First Nations communities.
  • Facilitate partnerships between our organization and Indigenous groups to promote mutual understanding and collaboration.
  • Coordinate events, workshops, and initiatives that support reconciliation efforts.
  • Advocate for Indigenous rights within the organization and externally.
  • Provide cultural competency training for staff members.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Indigenous studies, social work, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated commitment to advancing reconciliation efforts.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation pertaining to Indigenous rights.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for meetings or events.
