Job Title: Compliance Specialist - Customer Due Diligence

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced professional to manage customer due diligence processes, prioritizing staff responsibilities and escalating AML/CTF issues.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Customer Screening: Review and assess customer name and associated party screening and monitoring.
  • Information Receipt: Ensure timely receipt of customer information from Front Office teams.
  • Risk Assessment: Complete customer risk rating and money laundering risk assessment control documents.
  • File Maintenance: Maintain accurate and complete KYC files.
  • Searches and Screening: Conduct searches and screening related to all parties associated with KYC completion.
  • Policy Review: Review policy and procedure documents to develop a deep understanding of requirements.
  • Process Updates: Implement updates to processes based on Australian and regulatory changes.
Requirements:
  • A tertiary qualification in business, law, or equivalent field.
  • A proven understanding of compliance and AML/CTF risk frameworks.
  • Experience in AML/CTF, including Politically Exposed Person analysis.
  • A strong understanding of banking operations and financial products.
  • An understanding of the Australian financial market and regulatory framework.
