Job Description:

The Director of Assisted Living plays a pivotal role in the organization, overseeing the operation and supervision of assisted living programs.

This includes ensuring compliance with company standards and federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Care Management and Service Delivery - 30%
    • Responsible for case management of all residents in the assisted living areas.
    • Consults with resident physicians to plan care, treatment, and rehabilitation.
    • Notifies attending physicians and families accordingly.
  • Quality, Compliance, and Risk Management - 20%
    • Ensures adherence to the Assisted Living Manual and interprets policies as required.
    • Develops and implements quality assurance programs.
  • Operations Management - 20%
    • Manages assisted living operations to ensure regulatory compliance.
    • Coordinates admissions, transfers, and discharges efficiently.
  • People Management and Development - 15%
    • Supervises assisted living staff effectively.
    • Fosters a positive work environment.
  • Financial Management - 10%
    • Monitors finances to meet budget targets.
  • Administrative and Reporting - 5%
    • Reviews nurses' notes and performs administrative duties.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, gerontology, or a related field is required.
  • Three years experience in operations management in a skilled nursing or assisted living facility is required.
Working Conditions:
  • Sitting - Up to 4 hours/day
  • Standing - Up to 8 hours/day
  • Lifting, transferring, pushing or pulling residents/patients or equipment/supplies - Up to 50 pounds
