Role Overview

This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of Rheumatology while enjoying a scenic and welcoming region. As a leading teaching hospital, you will have access to undergraduate and postgraduate medical education opportunities, as well as quality improvement and research initiatives.

You will provide comprehensive outpatient services across Northern Tasmania, lead specialist Rheumatology clinics, and coordinate patient care. Additionally, you will mentor and supervise postgraduate trainees and contribute to departmental research and service development initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure continuity of care
  • Mentor and supervise postgraduate trainees
  • Contribute to medical student teaching through academic partnerships
  • Lead specialist Rheumatology clinics and coordinate patient care
  • Contribute to departmental research, clinical governance, and service development initiatives

Requirements

  • Specialist Registration with relevant professional bodies
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical service delivery, teaching, and research within Rheumatology
