Health and Safety Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a major investment project in Melbourne's Eastern Freeway network.
As a Health and Safety Professional, you will play a key role in supporting the implementation of the project's Health & Safety Management Plan and ensuring best practices are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of a positive health and safety culture, living by and championing industry values.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to relevant team members on all matters pertaining to Health and Safety.
- Participate in audit schedules and assist in undertaking health and safety audits, supporting the project in developing and closing out any actions arising.
- Ensure relevant team members are aware of their individual responsibilities, including those associated with Health and Safety.
- Assist with the preparation of safe work method statements and construction method statements to encompass relevant construction processes.
Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is required, along with working towards a diploma. Prior experience in a similar tier 1 environment is preferable. Proficiency in reports and systems, with the ability to utilize technology, preferably ICAM and RRTWC skills.
