Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to join our organization. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing the organization's Occupational Health and Safety program.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey health and safety information to staff members at all levels of the organization.

This is a critical position that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing health and safety programs in accordance with regulatory requirements. You will also provide training and support to staff members on health and safety protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular health and safety audits and inspections.
  • Investigate and report on workplace incidents and near misses.
  • Provide training and education to staff members on health and safety protocols and procedures.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies to reduce workplace injuries and illnesses.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in occupational health and safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Formal qualification in occupational health and safety or related field.
  • Professional certification in occupational health and safety.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting.
