Family Support Practitioner - Rockhampton

We're seeking a skilled Family Support Practitioner to join our team in Rockhampton. As a dedicated and compassionate professional, you will work with families in their homes and communities to provide tailored support solutions.

About the Role

This is a dynamic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children, young people, and their families. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, providing intensive family support that addresses the complex needs of individuals and families.

  • Provide evidence-based interventions, including parenting strategies and practical life skills coaching.
  • Support families to access community resources, education, and employment pathways.
  • Conduct home visits and engage in early intervention strategies to improve safety and wellbeing outcomes.

You will work collaboratively with Child Safety and other government and community stakeholders to deliver wrap-around support, ensuring a holistic approach to addressing the needs of families.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A relevant Bachelor's Degree, Diploma or Certificate IV (Community Services, Youth/Social Work, etc.).
  • Experience working with young people/children and related fields, i.e. Family Support, Child Safety, family development and other Family related roles.
  • A valid Driver's Licence and access to a vehicle.

You will also need to hold a Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or be willing and eligible to obtain prior to commencement.
