Job Description

As a Principal Power Systems Engineer, you will have broad exposure to our digital grid management software suite. Your focus will be on advanced applications such as Distribution Power Flow (DPF), Fault Location Isolation & Service Restoration (FLISR), Volt/VAR Control & Optimization (VVC/VVO), Outage Management Systems (OMS) and Switch Order Management (SOM).

You will lead projects in the ADMS portfolio and serve as technical support expert. You will support implementation of control systems at electric utilities, participate in design, planning, and execution of ADMS projects, support testing events with the customer, work closely with functional development teams to troubleshoot, prioritize, and test product changes.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineer or related field; degree in Electrical Engineer, Power System Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Min 5 years of experience in a Power System Engineering role including Outage Management System and Switch Order Management Application Engineering role.
  • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex systems issues in software applications.
  • Knowledge of system designs, computer systems, engineering practices, and control systems.
  • Understanding of Electric Distribution Power Systems and modeling is preferred (Load Flow Studies, FLISR and VVC/VVO).
  • Familiarity with electric utilities operations and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effectively manage time, and context switch between multiple competing tasks.
