As the lead power systems engineer, you will play a critical role in driving projects forward and providing technical expertise to ensure seamless integration of control systems at electric utilities.

About the Role
  • You will lead projects within the ADMS portfolio and serve as a technical support expert, ensuring that all aspects of the project are executed to the highest standard.
  • In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of control systems at electric utilities, working closely with development teams to troubleshoot, prioritize, and test product changes.
  • You will also participate in design, planning, and execution of ADMS projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support testing events with customers, ensuring that all systems are functioning as expected.
  • Work closely with GIS teams to extract, translate, and load electrical network models into the Distribution Management System.
  • Interface with CIS teams to extract, translate, and load customer models into the Outage Management System.
  • Configure and integrate software components to meet contract requirements, testing thoroughly with customers.
  • Provide training to customers on how to operate delivered systems, ensuring seamless adoption.
  • Offer technical support to resolve issues observed on live systems, prioritizing swift resolution to minimize downtime.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Power System Engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex system issues is essential, as is knowledge of system designs, computer systems, engineering practices, and control systems.
  • A strong understanding of Electric Distribution Power Systems and modeling is preferred, as well as familiarity with electric utilities operations and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary, as is the ability to effectively manage time and context-switch between multiple competing tasks.
