Job Title

Asset Maintenance Specialist

This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and cost-effectiveness of water management assets.

As a subject matter expert, you will provide technical support and guidance to various teams across operations to achieve best-for-business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to optimize asset performance
  • Create and review critical work instructions, check sheets, and maintenance procedures
  • Collaborate with Long Term Planning to develop asset budget forecasting models
  • Design and deliver engineering solutions to minimize whole-of-life costs and enhance asset performance
  • Provide technical expertise to resolve complex faults and issues
  • Offer ongoing technical support to Projects, Operational Readiness, and Procurement
  • Assist operational teams in recovering from major downtime events
  • Establish best practice processes and systems for managing water management assets
  • Identify opportunities to reduce risk exposures through process, equipment, and engineering improvements

Requirements and Experience

A strong background in reliability engineering and extensive experience working with water management assets such as bore and skid pumps, ponds, generators, VSDs, piping, and valves.

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.

At least 5 years of operational experience with heavy industry fixed plant assets, preferably at senior engineer level.

Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Familiarity with CMMS systems (SAP preferred).
