Senior Mental Health Specialist Coordinator

The Department of Health is seeking a Senior Mental Health Specialist Coordinator to provide clinical co-ordination, assessment and developmentally appropriate therapeutic interventions to meet the needs of young people and their families/significant others who present with very high and complex care needs.
Job Description:- We are looking for an experienced mental health professional with expertise in complex case management, assessment, counselling and/or therapy.
- You will work within a well-supported, multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality mental health services to children, young people, and their families/carers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist clinical coordination service that supports right place, right care principles to facilitate determined need, and undertaking high level assessments and developing an individual plan that brings together the right mix of services across government and non-government agencies.
- Promote a positive working culture by developing effective partnerships and exceptional working relationships with all stakeholders, both within the Agency and with external community service providers, and providing services that are person-centred, high quality, sustainable and responsive to ongoing quality improvement.
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and possess a specialist tertiary graduate or postgraduate mental health/psychiatric nursing qualification; or completed, prior to the transfer of nurse education to the tertiary sector, an accredited hospital-based program that led to registration as a psychiatric nurse by the relevant nurse regulatory authority within Australia, New Zealand, Canada or the United Kingdom.
- Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum. Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Access to Grade 4 salary range $99,455 - $105,995 is subject to progression to Grade 4.
- Allowances: Post-Graduate Allowance up to 10% based on qualification type; multidisciplinary allowance may also apply.
