Job Description

The Department of Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced clinical nurse consultant to fill a vacant position. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing specialist clinical coordination services, supporting young people with complex mental health issues.

This role will involve working within a well-supported multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care and interventions to meet the needs of children, young people, and their families/significant others.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing specialist clinical coordination service that supports right place, right care principles.
  • Undertaking high-level assessments and developing individual plans that bring together the right mix of services.
  • Promoting a positive working culture by developing effective partnerships and exceptional working relationships.
  • Working with a diverse multidisciplinary team, including providing support and consultation to other team members as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
  • Specialist tertiary graduate or postgraduate mental health/psychiatric nursing qualification.
  • Experience in complex case management, assessment, counselling, and/or therapy.
