Airport Firefighter Role

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated individuals to join our team of Airport Firefighters. As a member of our team, you will be stationed at one of our airport fire stations, responsible for a range of tasks including responding to incidents, maintaining equipment, and providing first aid advice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to aircraft incidents, fires, and other airport emergencies in a timely and effective manner.
  • Maintain equipment and trucks at airport fire stations to ensure they are operational and ready for use.
  • Provide first aid advice and assistance to colleagues and passengers as needed.
  • Work effectively in a team environment to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Make logical decisions quickly in critical situations to minimize risk and ensure the safety of others.
Requirements:
  • Australian/New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident.
  • Completed senior secondary certificate of education (Year 10/12).
  • Current driver's license with the ability to obtain a heavy rigid license.
  • Hold a current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011 or HTLAID014).
  • Be physically and mentally fit to perform the demands of the role, pass a physical aptitude test, and undergo an aviation medical assessment.
