Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team in the North West region, Ulverstone location. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team providing alcohol and drug treatment and support to clients.

The Role

As a Registered Nurse - Alcohol & Other Drug, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive clinical assessments, treatment, and case management services to clients. You will also work closely with other services within the public and private sectors to deliver excellence in healthcare and improved outcomes for our consumers, workforce, and the Tasmanian community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary evidence-based practice used in the treatment and prevention of alcohol and other drug dependence.
  • Ability to undertake comprehensive assessments and therapeutic interventions with complex AOD issues.
  • Knowledge of and ability to develop, monitor, and implement quality assurance and improvement activities and/or research.
  • Provide Pharmacotherapy treatment and harm minimisation advice as part of the MDT process.
Requirements
  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in AOD desirable.
