We enable access to quality skills, training and employment services to support Australians find secure work in fair, productive and safe workplaces.
The workplace relations team is responsible for policy advice, administering key workplace relations programs and engaging with government, industry and community stakeholders.
Our focus is on improving working conditions for workers through policy reforms, international representation and collaboration with unions and employer associations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing policy advice on complex issues such as the gender pay gap and emerging forms of work.
- Leading international policy statements at the United Nations international labour organisation on behalf of Asia pacific countries.
- Working across government and with industry stakeholders on regulatory technologies to improve the usability of the workplace relations system.
- Developing and advising on legislation including contributing to high court cases.
Desirable experience in policy development and/or workplace relations.
