Job Description

The Workplace Relations Specialist will be responsible for developing accurate and accessible resources on workplace relations topics for the arts sector. The ideal candidate will have a law degree and experience in a legal or policy setting, with excellent writing skills and strong research and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create plain language content on trauma-informed workplace practices and related policies, templates, and guidance materials.
  • Maintain a legal toolkit with interactive web-based tools and resources.
  • Research and update plain language content to reflect changes in legislation.
  • Provide specialist advice on workplace issues and align recommendations with strategic priorities.
  • Draft high-quality submissions, briefs, reports, and policy documents for various stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Law degree (e.g., anti-discrimination law, commercial law, work health and safety).
  • Experience in a legal or policy setting, such as work health and safety, commercial law, or government.
  • Excellent writing skills with demonstrated experience creating high-quality resources for diverse audiences.
  • Strong research and project management skills, including preparing plans and reporting against milestones.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
