Job Title: Costume Coordinator LeadThe role of a Costume Coordinator is multifaceted and pivotal to the success of any production. As part of our team, you will play a key role in ensuring seamless operations within the Costume Workshop.Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Head of Costume Workshop in department administration tasks including calendar management, drafting correspondence, and screening telephone communications.
  • Contribute to project development and planning for enhanced service delivery within the Costume Workshop.
  • Schedule costume fittings for productions in collaboration with costume coordinators and cutters.
  • Oversee additional costuming requests from various departments.
  • Act as Costume department occupational health and safety representative.
  • Facilitate Department Inductions for new team members.
  • Collaborate with collections management to enter and manage information into The Australian Ballet Collection Management system.
Requirements:
  • Prior administrative experience or equivalent.
  • Strong Microsoft skills in Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Previous experience in a theatrical wardrobe environment is advantageous.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability are essential.
  • A strong interest in costume making and design is desirable.
  • Appreciation of the artistic temperament.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Prioritisation, attention to detail, customer service orientation, patience, and a calm demeanor are required.
