Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Assistant Director of Finance to support our finance department in implementing and overseeing all aspects of hotel finance.

This role will involve identifying opportunities to increase revenue and maximize profitability by analyzing financial data and making informed decisions.

The successful candidate will work closely with the finance team and leadership committee to ensure smooth operation of all hotel finance activities in full compliance with policy, regulatory, and contractual framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review journal entries, month-end reports cash flow, and reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Participate in monthly financial reviews and review preliminary financial statements with the Director of Finance to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Review payroll records and ensure timely and accurate payment of employees.
  • Supervise and train finance staff to reflect high standards of service and procedures.
  • Oversee hotel on-site finance functions to ensure proper fiscal management, timely and accurate reporting, and analysis.
  • Perform systems administration, G/L account reconciliations, budget preparations, inventories, monthly closings, internal audit, AML, general compliance, and full P&L responsibility.
  • Assist in managing and ensuring SOX, GAAP, PCI, and USALI compliance.
  • Investigate, review, and analyze variance explanations involving department heads in this process.
  • Take initiative to manage troubleshooting for respective cost controls and revenue enhancement.
  • Conduct or ensure all Training and Evaluations are completed as required.
