Alba Thermal Springs and Spa is a premium wellness destination located on the stunning Mornington Peninsula. Known for our world-class thermal springs, spa experiences, and culinary offerings, we exist to create a sanctuary where guests leave feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and deeply cared for.
We are seeking a dynamic Director of Operations to join our Executive Leadership Team and lead day-to-day operations across the property. This is a key leadership position that will inspire and guide department heads, elevate service standards, and drive operational excellence across spa, food and beverage, housekeeping, guest services, and property operations.
Reporting directly to the General Manager and overseeing a team of departmental leaders, you will:

• Lead daily operations across all guest-facing and service departments

• Champion an exceptional guest-first culture

• Drive efficiency, service quality, and financial performance

• Translate strategic vision into operational results

• Inspire and grow a high-performing team through strong leadership and coaching
You'll also act as the General Manager's delegate in their absence, taking full ownership of operational decisions and performance.
About You
We're looking for a hands-on, values-driven leader who thrives in a dynamic, guest-focused environment.

• You have 5+ years of senior operations experience in a premium hotel, resort or wellness environment

• You have proven success managing multiple departments in a fast-paced, service-led business

• You have strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting

• You have deep knowledge of hospitality industry trends, guest service standards, and operational best practice

• You have exceptional leadership and communication skills

• You have the ability to solve problems, adapt to change, and lead by example

• You have qualifications in operations management, business or hospitality (preferred)

• You have a valid visa or working rights for Australia
