About the Role

BHP Technology is seeking an experienced Operational Technology Specialist to join our Technology Site Operations team in Central Queensland. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day availability and maintenance of Operational Technology Systems across various sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake preventative maintenance and provide technical field support for Operational Technology Systems.
  • Ensure the availability and reliability of Operational Technology Systems, including Network and Servers, CCTV, Physical Access Management, Key Management Systems, Wi-Fi, and Security Applications.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to support teams to resolve priority issues.
  • Execute work orders as per schedule and/or directed by the Technology supervisor and complete relevant work instructions.
  • Contribute to root cause analysis and resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability.
  • Validate quality of work performed prior to completion.
  • Review and request updates to Work Management and other Master Data as required.
  • Support Planning activities, in line with SAP Maintenance Strategies.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Cert 3 or Trade certificate in Industrial Wireless Communications, Electronics, or Industrial Electrical/Instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with Mining Operational Technology Infrastructure, Communication Networks IT/OT, Wi-Fi, Servers, and Security Applications.
  • A proven track record of Safety within a Coal Mining operational environment or similar.
  • An ability to prioritize effectively and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Proactive in identifying areas of improvement in the management of Technology systems.
  • Takes ownership of ideas/solutions and sees them through to maturity.
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Australian C-class driver's license.
  • Coal mine exposure would be advantageous.
  • Open/unrestricted Cabling License preferable.

Desirable Experience:

  • SAP Work Management.
  • Working at Heights, Confined Space, and First Aid training.
  • Gallagher and ISIC certified.
