About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Operations Systems Specialist to join our Airline Operations Technology team at Virgin Australia Airlines. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in improving systems that support our Workforce Planning and Crew Tracking teams in achieving their business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Virgin Australia's Workforce Planning and Crew Tracking teams to identify and implement system improvements.
  • Work closely with business customers and other technology teams to support innovative outcomes that enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, internal and external.
  • Contribute to project planning and delivery, and drive improvements to process, policy, and systems to enhance performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in information management, Business Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3-5 years' experience as a System Analyst, Business Analyst, or Subject Matter Expert.
  • Experience and functional expertise in airline rostering systems (AirCrews, IBS Pairings/PBS) or other operational systems.
  • Demonstrated skills in gathering business requirements, problem-solving, identifying, and assessing solutions.
  • Experience in system configuration, maintenance, and support.
  • Experience in system test case development and testing.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in a Workforce Planning or Integrated Operations Centre related position.
  • Experience working in a Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) regulated environment.
  • Great understanding of Enterprise Agreements and working within their constraints.
