Registered Nurse Opportunity

GenesisCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have current and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA, previous experience in Radiation Oncology and/or Medical Oncology is desirable but not essential. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, empathy for patients and their carers, and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a team member are also essential.

You will provide excellent patient care, ensuring patient's physical and psychological needs are met. You will effectively manage the patients that are seen each day, facilitate effective lines of communication with all staff, and provide feedback and up-to-date information regarding patients.

You will also ensure all patient interaction is documented, communicated, and actioned, monitor and maintain procedures, protocols, practices, and clinical guidelines in line with best practice oncology nursing standards. You will demonstrate reliability, motivation, and flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring patient's physical and psychological needs are met.
  • Effectively manage the patients that are seen each day.
  • Facilitate effective lines of communication with all staff and provide feedback and up-to-date information regarding patients.
  • Ensure all patient interaction is documented, communicated, and actioned.

Requirements:
  • Current and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Previous experience in Radiation Oncology and/or Medical Oncology is desirable but not essential.
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to demonstrate empathy for patients and their carers.
  • Demonstrated clinical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate the clinical management of care.
  • Commitment to and involvement in the application of quality improvement and evidence-based practice principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a team member.
