Overview

The Regional Procurement Lead will play a pivotal role in driving strategic procurement initiatives across the Eastern Region.

This exciting opportunity calls for an accomplished professional to spearhead regional procurement strategies, foster cost-saving collaborations with suppliers, and develop innovative sourcing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities for process improvements and supplier collaboration.
  • Develop and negotiate supplier agreements, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, category knowledge, and supplier performance.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive strategic procurement projects.
  • Manage supplier relationships, ensuring quality, customer support, and price management.
  • Build new supplier partnerships and develop alternative sources and solutions.
  • Ensure alignment with national and global procurement strategies and agreements.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement or operations, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation skills are essential.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis, market benchmarking, and decision-making.
  • Ability to identify opportunities, drive process change, and overcome resistance in complex environments.
  • Familiarity with ERP/procurement systems is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel within NSW and ACT.
  • University degree in engineering or business administration is preferred.
  • CIPSA student or full membership is preferred.
