Regional Purchasing Manager Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Purchasing Manager to join our organization in Sydney.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sourcing strategies for regionally sourced goods and services.
  • In this role, you will develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals.
  • You will analyze market trends and develop category knowledge to ensure optimal results.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop regional procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
  2. Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency in regionally sourced goods and services.
  3. Negotiate supplier agreements to ensure compliance with company standards.
  4. Analyze market trends to inform procurement decisions.
  5. Oversee strategic procurement projects with cross-functional impact.
  6. Evaluate and manage supplier performance, quality, customer support, and price management.
  7. Build relationships with new suppliers and identify alternative sources.
  8. Ensure alignment of local procurement practices with national and global strategies.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Procurement or Operations in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and data analysis capabilities.
  • Ability to drive process change and overcome resistance in complex environments.
  • Familiarity with ERP/procurement systems (e.g. SAP, Ariba).
  • University degree in engineering or business administration (preferred).
  • CIPSA student or full membership is preferred.
