Job Title: Regional Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced regional procurement specialist to join our team in Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies for regionally sourced goods and services.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic procurement plans for the Eastern Region
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities for regionally sourced materials and services
  • Initiate, develop, and negotiate supplier agreements for goods and services
  • Analyse market trends and develop category knowledge
  • Manage cross-functional procurement projects with significant business impact
  • Oversee supplier performance, quality, customer support, and price management
  • Establish new supplier relationships and develop alternative sources and solutions
  • Ensure alignment with national and global procurement strategies and agreements

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in procurement or operations in an industrial or manufacturing setting
  • Expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis, market benchmarking, and decision-making
  • Ability to identify opportunities, drive process change, and overcome resistance in complex environments
  • Familiarity with ERP/procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba)
  • Willingness to travel within NSW and ACT
  • University degree in engineering or business administration (preferred)
  • Certified Practising Purchaser (CPP) qualification is preferred
