Audio Solutions Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Audio Solutions Engineer to join our team. As an integral part of our sales cycle, you will provide technical designs and solutions that ensure our partners and customers fully understand the value of our audio offerings.

You will collaborate closely with our Audio Sales Manager to increase awareness of our audio systems and solutions across the Oceania market, identifying new opportunities to drive revenue growth.

This role will also involve building awareness and educating our network and wider community about our products and solutions through presentations in webinars, industry networks, and training sessions.

You will work closely with our Oceania Sales Engineer team, Sales, Marketing, and join the Axis Global Sales Engineer community in regional APAC and HQ, Sweden.

The position is based in Sydney and requires regular domestic and international travel.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with integrators, technology partners, and internal teams during project sales processes.
  • Design IP-based audio systems, including site surveys, speaker placement, sound dispersion calculations, SPL coverage, network topology, and BOM creation.
  • Produce schematic drawings using tools like CAD, Axis Site Designer, and EASE Evac.
  • Recommend and integrate third-party audio products as part of overall solutions.
  • Support sales efforts with technical demonstrations, audio solution delivery, and presales technical documentation.
  • Provide technical training and updates on audio solutions to distributors, resellers, and customers.
  • Identify new audio business opportunities through partner engagement.
  • Represent Axis at industry events and trade shows focusing on audio solutions.
  • Collaborate across departments and support other Sales Engineers as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, network engineering, computer science, or information systems is desirable.
  • Experience in customer-facing pre-sales roles, ideally in network audio or IP-based audio solutions.
  • General knowledge of common paging loudspeaker systems/solutions and IP-based audio and AV control systems is required.
  • Able to facilitate engaging presentations and demonstrations to various audiences.
