About the Role:

This position involves working as part of a team to maintain high-quality food standards and ensure efficient kitchen operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef/Manager/Owner in menu planning and food production.
  • Supervise and participate in daily food preparation and presentation.
  • Manage food supply, portion control, waste management, and stock procurement.
  • Monitor food supply and kitchen equipment par levels and notify management of any additional stock required.
  • Ensure all food is cooked to perfection, served on time, and presented professionally.
  • Maintain high kitchen standards in all areas of operation, food hygiene and safety, food quality, and preparation.
  • Improve kitchen operating efficiency by adhering to and upgrading kitchen policy and procedure.

About You:

We are seeking a passionate and creative individual who is knowledgeable about food and produce. The successful candidate must have a Trade Certificate IV of Cookery, a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, and excellent communication and organisational skills.
