Market Insights Analyst

We are seeking a driven Market Insights Analyst to play a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making across marketing and sales functions. This role will be responsible for gathering, analysing, and interpreting market data to uncover insights, evaluate performance, and identify opportunities for sales and marketing initiatives that drive growth.

This role will involve collecting, cleansing and analysing external and internal data to support marketing and sales initiatives. The successful candidate will synthesize data and insights from various sources, including industry reports, academic journals, and market research firms.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel, Power BI/Tableau, or similar analytics tools. Experience working with marketing platforms and CRM systems is an advantage. Familiarity with market research and insight service providers is beneficial.

The Market Insights Analyst will develop dashboards and regular reports on market, customer and consumer behaviour, providing actionable insights that influence strategy, planning, and execution. They will conduct market and competitive analysis to identify trends, threats, and opportunities.

The successful candidate will provide data and support insights that inform market segment strategies, ensuring a pipeline of innovation, solutions, and marketing to support business success within specific market segments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, cleanse and analyse external and internal data to support marketing and sales initiatives.
  • Synthesis data and insights from various sources, including industry reports, academic journals, and market research firms.
  • Develop dashboards and regular reports on market, customer and consumer behaviour, providing actionable insights that influence strategy, planning, and execution.

  • Provide data and support insights that inform market segment strategies, ensuring a pipeline of innovation, solutions, and marketing to support business success within specific market segments.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or a related discipline are essential.
  • Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel, Power BI/Tableau, or similar analytics tools is required.
  • Experience working with marketing platforms and CRM systems is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with market research and insight service providers is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of SQL or other data querying languages is a plus.
