Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of investigators to achieve compliance and prosecution outcomes.
  • Develop and implement effective investigation strategies to address environmental planning and enforcement issues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including community groups, developers, and other government agencies.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on environmental planning and enforcement matters.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to environmental planning and enforcement.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in planning, investigations, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in investigations, particularly in environmental planning and enforcement.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including negotiation, facilitation, and presentation abilities.
  • Experience in local government operations and awareness of issues at both the local and state levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
