Guest Services Ambassador

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Guest Services Ambassador to join our team at The Standard Hotel, Melbourne.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences. As a Guest Services Ambassador, you will be responsible for creating memorable moments for our guests, ensuring that their stay with us is nothing short of amazing.
You will be the face of our hotel, providing outstanding customer service, responding to guest queries, and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner. Your warm smile, friendly demeanor, and willingness to go above and beyond will make our guests feel valued and appreciated.
Key Responsibilities- To consider the guest experience in everything you do, always being 'on stage' and delighted to offer the best assistance to our guests, and to create the special Standard experience.
- To take pride and personal ownership of our guests' arrival, departure, and overall experience, ensuring that it meets their expectations and exceeds their expectations.
- To maintain 100% guest recognition on all VIPs arriving/departing, repeat guests, and company directors visiting outlets.
- To proactively help with luggage and have a great knowledge of the surrounding area to provide accurate directions.
- To create goodwill and nurture working relationships with all colleagues of The Standard Hotel and our third-party suppliers.
- To ensure that all business data (including guest information, history, and rates) are accurately maintained in the property management system (PMS).
- To maintain impeccable cleanliness, availability, and peak condition of all front office areas, equipment, and supplies, coordinating any repairs or maintenance issues as they arise.
- To project always a positive and joyful attitude yet stay composed under pressurized situations.
- To assist guests in Valet Parking cars, ensuring to follow all local road rules and the greatest level of care is given with guests' property.
- To keep knowledge of current Melbourne trends, events, and experiences to provide a personalized experience to our guests.
- To assist guests with information and purchases in the Bodega, ensuring stock levels are maintained and the space is kept immaculate.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- A friendly, outgoing personality.
- To have a valid manual Australian Driver's License.
- Ability to work autonomously and remain calm under pressure.
- The flexibility to work across a 7-day roster, morning, and afternoon shifts.
- Team player with a 'can-do' mindset.
- Must have the right to work in Australia.
- Outside the box thinking.
We offer a competitive salary package of $60,000 - $70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
