Drug and Alcohol Specialist

Our organisation is seeking a highly skilled specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. This is an excellent opportunity for you to make a meaningful contribution in the field of drug and alcohol treatment.

This role forms part of our comprehensive Assertive Community Management program, designed to provide flexible and holistic services to clients with complex needs in a community setting.

The successful candidate will collaborate with a team to assess, case manage and coordinate care for clients. You will also develop and deliver education programs, make referrals, and follow up with clients to ensure they receive the necessary support.

  • You must hold a relevant qualification such as a Registered Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Counsellor or Welfare Officer, or Psychologist.
  • You must have advanced knowledge and skills in drug and alcohol work, including harm minimisation approaches.
  • You must be able to assess, case manage, negotiate and advocate for vulnerable clients with complex needs.
  • You must have a current NSW Driver's Licence.

Requirements

This is a Category A position, and applicants must provide evidence of vaccination to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy.
