The Role: Business Strategy Development Manager

This role is based at our Brisbane HQ and reports to Senior Manager, SME Strategy and Insights. You will play a pivotal role in identifying and delivering strategic growth opportunities.

This role is embedded within the SME division and partners with cross-functional teams across Sales, Marketing, Digital/Product, Operations and Loyalty as well as across the broader business.

In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders, lead and facilitate meetings, develop comprehensive project plans, establish governance structures, and ensure timely project completion.

  • Lead strategic problem-solving using strategic frameworks and tools to provide critical insights.
  • Use data modelling and in-depth qualitative and quantitative analysis to provide evidence for any proposed changes.
  • Synthesise findings into clear and concise PowerPoint packs.
  • Proactively work with internal stakeholders across the commercial functions and the VA Group.
  • Lead opportunities from conception through to completion.
What You'll Need to Succeed

You will need:

  • A background in Management Consulting or a similar commercial/analytical role (3+ years).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience operating with ambiguity in pursuit of an overall objective.
  • Strong results delivery focus with a self-starter attitude.
  • Ability to use data insights to generate easily interpreted, impactful Microsoft PowerPoint presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
