Project Accountant Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly growing and highly successful company as a Project Accountant. The role will be based in the northern suburbs of Perth and will involve working on various projects across the construction, mining, and rail industries.

The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of experience in Australia as a management financial or project accountant, with a strong background in MYOB or XERO software. They will also possess excellent communication skills, good time management, and leadership skills.

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain the financial records of the company and ongoing projects
  • Prepare regular financial reports for management and the Board, including weekly AR, AP, and cash flow forecast reports
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with external accountants
  • Deliver month-end accounts and prepare monthly management reports
  • Handle taxation and compliance matters
  • Prepare end-of-financial-year reports and audit reviews
  • Be the primary point of contact for the company's banking relationships
  • Develop budgets for major projects
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a management financial or project accountant in Australia
  • Ideal: CA/CPA part or fully qualified
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good time management and leadership skills
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • Must have a permanent right to work in Australia
  • Previous experience in construction, mining, or rail industries highly regarded
  • Willingness to commit to a FIFO role (2 weeks on-site, 1 week off)
